Klaudia and Matt’s wedding was perfect in every way, a truly amazing couple, beautiful venue, fantastic guests and a couple of dogs and a police car thrown in for good measure!
I first met Klaudia and Matt back in September 2018 at their home; from their amazing smiles, warm personalities and beautiful Romanian rescue dogs it was a match made in heaven and I knew within seconds that I was desperate to be their wedding photographer, luckily for me the feeling was mutual.
On the big day I arrived at Ghyll Manor in the morning and was shown to Klaudia’s room, here I found the lovely Gina and Sophie of Bambi doing hair and make up. The multi award winning team at Bambi use only Vegan products from companies that are against animal testing.
It was lovely to see Klaudia again and we immediately began our day laughing together, a theme that continued throughout the whole day.
As well as covering bridal prep I also took the time to photograph the venue and to find Matt and his best man for a few photos too, it’s always an added bonus when the bride and groom are both at the same venue as it means that they each get to look back at their wedding photos and see what the other was doing in their last moments before becoming husband and wife – this usually consists of the groom nervously drinking a pint and the bride happily sipping champagne – the latter however was not the case today as this very special day also marked 5 months of their first pregnancy – congratulations guys!
Although an outdoor service had originally been planned the mornings weather hadn’t been very kind to us so the staff at Ghyll Manor worked tirelessly to set the conservatory up ready for this. As always they did a cracking job and it made the perfect backdrop for Matt and Klaudia’s service especially when the sunshine decided to start shining for them as Klaudia made her way down the aisle.
Their service was full of love and laughter and finished with resounding cheers from their friends and family.
We made our way to the gardens for the all important group shots and then the newly married couple and I took a stroll down to the lake for a few photos of the two of them, they weren’t overly keen on having many photos taken and they certainly didn’t want to pose for any couple shots which suited me perfectly.
From here we walked over the grounds and met with their dog walker and sitter Suzzi from Woofers & Wags who offers an excellent service enabling couples to make their pooch’s part of their big day through Woofers & Wags Wedding Service – Fur Ever & Fur Always Dog Chaperone, from grooming to colour themed outfits Suzzi will bring your dogs along to your venue and ensure that they can be a part of your wedding day.
Their dogs Skye and Eddie are both Romanian rescues and although a little nervous they absolutely loved seeing their owners and it turned out that they weren’t at all camera shy!
After the dog’s visit we were given another treat, both Matt and Klaudia are police officers and some of their colleagues had arranged for a police car to arrive at the venue, it seemed rude to not take advantage of this unusual sight with a few fun photos – Matt and Klaudia took full advantage of this and had everyone in tears of laughter.
We later made our way to Hunsdon Hall, which Matt, Klaudia and friends had transformed in to a Disney fans haven for dinner and speeches. The weather had done a complete 180 and the evening turned out to be warm and sunny so guests made the most of the terrace area before the evening began.
After a few candid shots and the groomsmen insisting on their very own mini photoshoot we all made it back to the Hall for the cake cutting and first dance.
Klaudia and Matt’s guests did not disappoint and all descended on to the dancefloor to dance the night away!
It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this special day and I cannot wait to meet the newest addition to their family in just 3 months!
