Lewis and Lucy’s wedding was my third and final 2019 wedding at Ghyll Manor.
Ghyll Manor is fast becoming one of my favourite venues; it’s a stunning 17th-century country house set in acres of private grounds, with beautifully landscaped gardens nestled in the heart of the Sussex countryside.
I arrived on site to find an incredibly smiley bride and a very emotional maid of honour getting ready in one of the beautiful superior cottages that Ghyll Manor offer.
Lucy and her bridesmaids had already had their hair and make up done by Marina and Rhianna and were getting ready to put their dresses on.
I was absolutely blown away by the beautiful flowers by Jessica Eliza and enjoyed giving them their very own mini photoshoot while the girls got dressed.
Lewis and Lucy’s wedding ceremony did not disappoint, with lots of glances of love, crying guests, laughter and warm embraces it was a dream to capture!
After the ceremony we all made our way out to the courtyard for a walkway of confetti followed by drinks.
There were 4 very special children attending this wedding, Lewis’s two daughters and Lucy’s nieces; so I took the opportunity to take them off for a few photographs disguised as a fun game of ‘What’s the Time Mr Wolf’ which always goes down well with younger guests.
Once the newly married couple had had time to mingle and I had taken a few candid shots the three of us made our way out on to the superbly landscaped gardens for the bride and groom photos, Ghyll Manor offers a variety of spectacular backdrops and we took full advantage of this!
After the formal group shots guests made their way in to Hunsdon Hall for the wedding breakfast and some fantastic speeches, once these were finished everyone made their way back to the main bar area and I once again donned my favourite hat, the candid one!
What a fantastic day had by all, and the ‘blueberry’ on the cake was the cutting of the lovingly homemade wedding cake by Lucy’s Mum!
