It’s been such a long time since I had a chance to write a blog that I thought it fitting that the first one I did was all about this year’s first full on epic wedding – no limits on guest numbers and a full dance floor! Woooooooo
Sian and Curtis met as teenagers when they lived just 6 doors apart, they bumped in to each other along their road almost 12 years ago and have been inseparable ever since!
The love that these two have for each other is so tangible and raw that it’s impossible not to get swept up in the moment when you’re around them.
They originally booked to get married back in 2018 for 2020 – but sadly due to the pandemic they had to postpone. It was a long wait but oh so worth it when they finally become Mr and Mrs Newman!
I met with Sian, her Mum and bridesmaids in the dedicated prep room at Brookfield Barn on a beautiful sunny July morning for bridal prep by the extremely talented Lucy of Hairdressing by Lucy, who was also one of the bridesmaids.
We were also joined by Joe from Over the Hill Productions as videographer for the day.
The highlight of the morning for me had to be Sian’s Dad giving me one of the best father of the bride reactions that I’ve ever had the privilege to capture, well done sir.
The ceremony took place outside overlooking the barn, lake and golf course.
Brookfield Barn is specifically designed and built for weddings so is the perfect backdrop for any special day.
After the service and group shots the guests made their way to the terrace to mingle in the sun with not a face mask in site, a photographers dream, believe me!
That afternoon the guests took their seats in the beautiful oak framed barn and enjoyed a fantastic dinner courtesy of The Gourmet Chef.
Now, on to the evening, and what an evening it was – we had a full dance floor thanks to some awesome tunes from Synthesize Events and, wait for it………… Marshmallow toasting - Told you it was epic!!!
